Flower Mound Shared Workshops
Coworking spaces abound for white collar office work, but have been more limited for other types of employment. The Flower Mound Shared Workshops are a prototype design for mechanics, woodworkers, builders, and hobbyists of all types. Each rentable garage bay features a workspace, small office, kitchenette and bathroom. Members can tinker on the weekends or run a full-time business from the space.
Arko Architecture gave the tilt-up concrete wall panels a bold identity with a dynamic field of color and texture, and an angular cantilever over the entry corner. The design stands out amongst its larger shipping warehouse neighbors, welcoming the DIY community with a sense of excitement and possibility.
